Enjoy a day trip to Buldan, one of the few remaining traditional weaving centers in Asia Minor where hand looms are still used to create artisan-quality cotton and silk fabrics.
The day is an ideal opportunity to witness traditional Turkish life away from the busy tourist centers. Local weavers carry on their ancestors’ centuries-old traditions and craft some of the finest handmade cotton and silk fabrics.
You will visit the local coffee shop to taste freshly baked simit (sesame rolls) with tea in tulip shaped glasses, then stroll through Buldan’s streets lined with Ottoman-era houses and visit the weaving workshops.
After an al fresco lunch on a serene plateau, visit the local Cultural House to sip wines paired with regional cheeses.
