Ancient Lycia & the Taurus Mountains --- 5 days, tour starts and ends in Antalya;

itinerary details

day 1 - Cirali --- Arrive at the village of Cirali on the Mediterranean coastline. Dinner and overnight at a pension in the village.

day 2 - Ulupinar --- Tour begins at the base of Tahtali Mountain. Here we will visit the ancient city of Olympos in the middle of wild fig trees and bay-leaf bushes. After lunch, we climb through the pine woods to Yanartas, site of the permanent fire through the rocks due to natural gas emission. According to tradition, this was “Chimera”. Later in the day, we follow Ulupinar River to the village known with the same name.

day 3 - Ucoluk --- Today, we are going up to 1600 m. (~5200 ft) on a narrow trail through the forest of cedar trees to the summer meadows of Ucoluk (1600m). Our campsite is located in the midst of the wooden houses of semi nomads.
Walking; moderate, around 5-6 hours

day 4 - Altinyaka --- Today we take a path that allows us to get some spectacular view of the Akdag mountain (3074 m/~10,100 ft). As we arrive at the village of Altinyaka, we will have picnic lunch in the shade of century old oak trees. We will then visit the traditional mill of the village. In the afternoon, we continue our hike to a typical village house where we will stay overnight (950 m/~3100 ft).

day 5 --- Tour is over after breakfast.
