Aya Sofya Pansions

Located on Sogukcesme Street, between Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia. The hotel complex consist of a row of guesthouses, with a reception office between the cistern and the library. The street is closed to vehicle traffic. Every house on the streeet has a name; Jasmine House, Honeysuckle House, Rose Mansion, Cyclamen House, etc.

Each house has four to ten rooms, decorated in a particular color; yellow, blue, or red room, etc. The interiors are furnished in the 19. century Turkish style, in which traditional taste and western influence achieve a perfect balance. Armchairs with tasselled fringes, velvet curtains, brackets and mirrors create a warm, friendly atmosphere. A 1600 years old Byzantine cistern is the restaurant.
